DAR sets 5th Agraryo Trade Fair at Megamall

The Department of Agrarian Reform is staging this years Agraryo Trade Fair from June 7 to 11 focusing on market opportunities for Philippine agricultural products in the era of globalization.
Organized by the DAR-Bureau of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development in partnership with the Philippine Fruit and Vegetable Industries Inc., the trade fair highlights the activities for the 18th anniversary of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program. It will be held at the Megatrade Hall 1, Building B of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong.
The five-day activity aims to educate beneficiaries of the governments land reform program on how to properly utilize their farmlands and maximize opportunities for them in the advent of trade globalization. The trade fair is also expected to open markets for agricultural workers where they can sell and promote their products.
Participants to the trade fair include regional DAR and agrarian reform beneficiaries from the countrys 15 regions, government institutions, NGOs, as well as private exhibitors.
Among the Philippine agricultural products to be showcased during the trade fair include fresh and processed products, processed poultry and meat products, food ingredients and additives, packaging materials, furniture and handicrafts, natural and organic products and many others.
There will also be special activities such as seminars on product development and market trends, product demonstrations, photo exhibit of DARs projects, bartending and flairtending exhibition, and an awarding ceremony.
