Experts at CREBA-La Salle realty, environmental planning program

Experts in various aspects of environmental planning such as water resources and sanitation, solid waste management, land use planning, urban and regional planning, public domain and utilization, and geological and geohazard assessments, will speak at the third module of the post-baccalaureate diploma program in real estate management entitled Real Estate and Environmental Planning sponsored by the Chamber of Real Estate and Builders Associations (CREBA) and the De La Salle College of Saint Benilde School of Professional and Continuing Education.
The program will be held every Saturday from Jan. 28 to March 4 on the 9th floor of the CSB International Conference Center on Estrada St. corner Arellano St., Malate, Manila.
Prof. Roque Arrieta-Magno, former commissioner, Housing and Land Use Regulatory Baord (HLURB) and professorial lecturer, UP School of Urban and Regional Planning (UP-SURP), is the program director and course coordinator. Dr. Leonardo R. Garcia Jr. is the dean of the DLS-CSB School of Professional and Continuing Education (SpaCE) and a director of the Philippine Marketing Association (PMA).
Jan. 28 speakers are Magno, nature and scope of environmental planning: human settlements, and land use planning concepts: comprehensive land use plan; Feb. 4 Engr. Carlito M. Santos Jr., president, Uniklean Enviro-Engineering Technology Inc. water supply and sanitation; Dr. Alma Belia P. Madrazo, chairman, Tetra-Tech EM Inc., solid waste management; Feb. 11 Arch. Ma. Victoria B. Antonio, LVA Associates, strategic planning: urban planning context; and Dr. Crispin Emmanuel Diaz, assistant professor UP-SURP, transportation and infrastructure.
Feb. 18 lawyer Amado B. Deloria, former HLURB commissioner, public domain and utilization; protected areas; Sixto L. Tolentino Jr., Region 4 director, DENR Environmental Management Bureau, environmental clearance certificate (ECC), environmental impact assessment (EIA) and engineering geological and geohazard assessment report (EGGAR) in planning and development; Feb. 25 Delia Josef, director, Mindanao Basic Urban Services Sector Project, Philippine planning system, and Prof. Ernesto M. Serofe, training director, UP-SURP, plan implementation in the Philippines; March 4 Dr. Nathaniel Von Einsiedel, chairman, CONCEP Inc. and past CREBA president, urban development profession in the Philippines, and integration and examination.
Successful completion of six modules entitles a participant to a diploma in real estate management jointly given by the DLS-CSB and CREBA. Participants also earn accredited units under the continuing education program for licensed real estate brokers, appraisers, consultants and other professionals.
