Israeli technology seen to hike RP farm output

-
Israel’s agro-technology can significantly improve farming methods in the Philippines, increase agricultural productivity, and contribute immensely to national economic growth.

This was revealed by Netafim Philippines, the company that introduced and made such modern agro-technologies available locally.

Natafim is the world’s largest agro-technology enterprise, which has transformed traditional irrigation practices in every corner of the globe through its 12 manufacturing facilities, 28 subsidiaries and distribution network over 100 countries.

The company provides innovative solutions that increase crop yields and preserve scarce water resources.

Whether for high-tech agriculture or for traditional farming in developing countries, Netafim’s raises productivity through end-to-end solutions for open-field agricultural and landscaping irrigation, turnkey greenhouse projects, wastewater recycling for environmental irrigation and advanced crop management and monitoring systems.

The company’s drippers and dripperlines, which guarantee effective operation regardless of water quality and environmental hazards, are known for improved system efficiency and wide range of applications, including large-scale mechanized cultivation, irrigation efficiency in hilly terrain, easy deployment and minimum maintenance.

Netafim’s newest breakthrough, Turbonet Technology, features unprecedented clog resistance and increased water passage.

Netafim’s comprehensive range of irrigation products, climate controllers and services for greenhouse growers are engineered for precision and reliability. Its irrigation controllers and filtration systems are powerful, rugged and easy to operate.

Likewise, the company’s flow-compensating micro-sprinklers such as filters, fertilizers injectors, computerized controllers, and a broad selection of other essential products are available as fully-integrated systems.

The company also offers crop protection facilities, nursery and nursery equipment, mobile reflective and thermal screen and containers for soilless substrates and trellising support devices, among many others.

Now being marketed in the Philippines, these modern products, services and technologies will be featured at the Agrilink/Foodlink 2005, which will be staged at the World Trade Center Manila on Oct. 6 to 8.

Agrilink and Foodlink constitute the country’s biggest and most prestigious international trade show on agribusiness and food.

This year’s Agrilink and Foodlink is being geared to ensure the country’s development of an efficient and competitive supply chain by making available the world’s best technologies and practices to members of the agribusiness and food industry.

The twin events are being co-organized by the Foundation for Resource Linkage and Development with more than 20 national industry associations, who find it necessary for the entire supply chain to be different in order to make the country’s products competitive in the local and global markets.

Such is the reason why hundreds of exhibitors from all the segments and sectors of the local and global supply chain are participating in Agrilink/Foodlink 2005, which will include technology seminars, products and services exhibition and demonstrations and business presentations, among others.

Inquiries and/or reservations can be made with FRLD (tel. 8384549, 8384852; fax 8384573, or email [email protected], or website www.frld.org/agrilink).

Also supporting Agrilink/Foodlink 2005 are the Department of Agriculture and the National Fishery and Agricultural Council.
