Sentricon cited for environmental safety

Sentricon® Termite Colony Elimination System, manufactured by DowAgroSciences, was named recepient of the Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award in recognition of its efforts in preserving the environment with its termite baiting technology.

Sentricon’s unique form of extermination involves termite baits placed only when and where termites are present. Unlike the conventional liquid termitivide treatment where around 200 gallons of diluted chemicals are sprayed almost throughout infested or even non-infested areas, Sentricon uses minimal amount of an active ingrent called hexaflumuron within its baits. It leaves no residues in soil or even odor that when inhaled might be detrimental to the health of those within a busy household or office.

Here in the country where termite infestation is a never-ending problem, many are realizing the importance of a long-term solution.
