Leisure Farms, the countrys first residential hobby farming and agro-tourism development, is ready to introduce to the lot owners and guests organic farming as much more than pesticide-free fertilizer, safe methods, and healthy crops today.
Dubbed "Go Organic", Leisure Farms on-site event will be a refreshing day of family fun and entertainment, offering outdoor activities such as horseback-riding and organic shopping at the pick n pay a fruit and vegetable market and more, giving visitors a taste of the Leisure Farms experience.
The event will also feature games and quizzes for the kids, live music and delicacies from the gourmet corner, a preview of what to expect from the Village Store. Designed to reflect the agro-tourism capability of Leisure Farms, the Village Store will be a shopping venue for the projects high-quality produce, farm seeds and supplies and unique Filipino products.
The event will also launch Leisure Farms Organic Integrated Model Farm that will showcase the wonders of organic farming in Leisure Farms Demo Farms during the day. With a little over 2,000 sqm for the Organic model farm, the all-natural organic farm will demonstrate sustainable agriculture and will feature a sanctuary teahouse, a garden with all kinds of fresh, high quality organic produce, as well as an herbal garden for culinary and medicinal uses.
The organic technology is the newest modern farming technology to be used in the farm, aside from hydroponics, coffee, vermicomposting, and Harbest hybrid seeds. The organic model farm is part of the agro-tourism complex, an area in the Demo Farms that will feature different exciting educational and interactive agricultural attractions. The model farms environment-friendly technology will be made available to resident farmers to utilize in their own farms.
