Outstanding agri engineer cited

Dr. Teresito G. Aguinaldo, a professor of the College of Engineering of the Central Luzon State University (CLSU) in the Science City of Munoz, Nueva Ecija has been honored as "Outstanding Agriculture Engineer in the Field of Agricultural Product Processing and Postharvest Technology" by the Philippine Society of Agricultural Engineers (PSAE).
Agriculture Secretary Luis P. Lorenzo Jr. and PSAE president Alexander G. Coloma gave the award to Aguinaldo and three other honorees. Dr. Vicente Vicmundo (Most Outstanding Agricultural Engineer), Dr. Guillermo Rillon (Oustanding Agricultural Engineer in the Field of Soil and Water Management) and Merriam Banlawe (Outstanding Agricultural Engineer in the field of Education.
The awarding ceremonies were held during the 53rd Annual Convention at the Waterfront Insular Resort Hotel, Lanang, Davao City.
Aguinaldo is currently the president of the Philippine National Confederation of Faculty Association in State Universities and Colleges since 1998. At the same time, he is serving as faculty regent in the highest governing board of CLSU from 1998 to 2003. He is also presidential assistant for external development of the university.
For his services to the CLSU and the countrys agricultural concerns, Dr. Aguinaldo has been a recipient of a number of awards. From CLSU: Distinguished Service Award of 20 years of loyal and dedicated service to the growth and development of the university on April 12, 1999.
The others are Loyalty Award for valuable support and exemplary service for 20 years as a faculty member (from the College of Engineering) on June 22, 1999; and Certificate of Commendation for his able instruction and guidance of his students on April 6, 1998.
From Thailand, he received a Plaque of Appreciation for sharing his experiences and expertise, from the King Mongkuts Institute of Technology on May 12, 1997. RMaE
