Agchem meets world class standards

A boon to the nations agriculture industry is the awarding of the ISO 9001:2000 certification to Agchem Manufacturing Corp., in fitting ceremonies held at the companys plants in Carmelray Industrial Park 1, Canlubang, Laguna last Dec. 11, 2002. Dr. Felix K. Maramba, Jr., Agchem president received the award from the certifying body, SGS Philippines, Inc. through its managing director, David Robinson.
With this, Agchems management system now bears two quality seals, having been accredited by the local Bureau of Product Standards (BPS) and the UK-based United Kingdom Accreditation Standards (UKAS), recognized by the organizations roster of multinational clients.
The ISO certification for world class management system covers the formulation, development, packaging and delivery of crop protection chemicals such as herbicides, insecticides, molluscicides, fungicides and growth regulators.
Dr. Maramba explained that "this award is in keeping with the companys vision to continually improved its management system, so as to align with the international standards in place for its ISO-certified multinational clientele." Agchem general manager Joe Cruz added that in the name of customer satisfaction, the company will pursue continual improvement which should contribute to the development of a vibrant agriculture industry,"
