MANILA, Philippines — Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI) will be jacking up its hospitality portfolio with the opening of six new hotels in Visayas and Mindanao.

CLI chairman and CEO Jose Soberano III said the company is slated to open three hotels this year as well as three more in 2026.

Soberano said the hotels to be opened by the company this year are the Citadines Paragon Davao, Radisson Red and Abaca Resort Mactan.

For next year, he said CLI would complete the construction of Sofitel Cebu City, Mercure Cebu Downtown and Magspeak Mountain Resort & Villas.

CLI expects to benefit from the growth in the tourism sector in Visayas and Mindanao with the six new hotels it will be launching.

“And we’re also in the works of another hotel in Panglao and Cagayan de Oro where we have the Manresa, which is a university township,” Soberano said.

In Cebu City, CLI’s operational hotels include Citadines Cebu City with 180 rooms, lyf Cebu City with 159 rooms and The Pad Co-Living with 258 rooms.

In June last year, CLI opened Citadines Bacolod City, its first hotel outside Cebu City and the largest international hotel in Bacolod.

Operated by The Ascott Limited, the P2 billion Citadines Bacolod City is a project of CCLI Premier Hotels, a joint venture of CLI in partnership with Capitaine Inc.

CLI’s diverse portfolio includes residential developments, offices, hotels and resorts, co-living and co-working spaces, mixed-use projects and large-scale townships.

The company has close to 130 projects across 17 key cities in Visayas and Mindanao.

After cementing its leadership in Visayas and Mindanao, CLI is gearing up for expansion in Luzon in which the company is preparing to spend P12 billion for its maiden projects that include a horizontal project in either Batangas or Cavite as well as a a vertical project in Metro Manila.
