MANILA, Philippines — The Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) has partnered with the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) to boost electric vehicle (EV) technology and course mobility advancement.

The partnership, which was recently sealed through a memorandum of agreement (MOA), aims to promote a culture of innovation and advocate sustainable transportation solutions.

“This joint effort seeks to boost electric vehicle (EV) technology and course mobility advancement,” the college said.

In particular, the partnership encourages the active cooperation of faculty members and learners of the college in EV-related curriculum development, projects, event hostings, contests and competitions and exposure trips.

For its part, the EVAP will provide assistance in terms of curricular consultations, resource sharing, and thesis development to further address industry needs through educational knowledge and skills.

The association will also support academic research projects through expert input and recommendations on national EV policies, industry standards and regulations.

EVAP president Edmund Araga and chairman Rommel Juan signed the MOA with CSB vice chancellor for academics Angelo Marco Lacson and School of Environment and Design dean Harvey Vasquez.

EVAP envisions a nation wherein the use of electric vehicles is highly promoted, encouraged and supported by its government and society to develop a transportation landscape that is one with the environment ecologically and economically.

The group’s mission is to educate the public on environmental awareness, and the economic and ecological benefits of electric vehicles through the conduct of and/or participation in promotional activities.
