MANILA, Philippines — Cebu’s homegrown developer, AppleOne Properties Inc., was named the country’s 7th leading developer by pipeline keys in the recent Philippine Property Market Report of Leechiu Property Consultants.
The annual comprehensive report is a collaboration with the Philippine Hotel Owners Association regarding the upcoming supply of domestic accommodation establishments, which is estimated to be 40,084 rooms in the next six to seven years.
The projected additional inventory has an estimated aggregate amount of P250 billion.
“We take pride in every property and partnership we have forged because we are bringing international standards to the Visayas and Mindanao regions and helping energize economic growth in the countryside,” said AppleOne Properties president and CEO Ray Go Manigsaca.
In its 2024 Philippine Accommodation Pipeline Report, Leechiu also cited Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu and Panglao Island in Bohol as the top two locations with the most significant accommodation developments.
The same report also identified Radisson Hotels and Marriott International – with whom AppleOne has partnered for its future developments – as among the leading global brands by pipeline keys.
“We intend our projects to serve as landmarks of strength, reflecting a dedication to both community impact and quality,” said Manigsaca, a recipient of the 2023 Grand Chamber Awards Entrepreneur of the Year from the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The property group owns Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort, a five-star, 10-story hotel in Lapu-Lapu City, which boasts 261 luxurious rooms and suites, and the twin-tower project, The Residences at Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort, which was named Best Luxury Resort Development and Best Branded Residential Development, respectively, in the 10th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards in 2022.
AppleOne will also open Fairfield by Marriott Cebu Mactan by March 2025, a nine-story, 196-room business hotel, which is attached to Mahi Center, a five-level mixed-use business and lifestyle hub, the first of its kind in Cebu.
It also operates the three-star boutique Diamond Suites and Residences near Ayala Center Cebu and Club Serena Resort, a 1.3-hectare beach villa complex in Moalboal in southern Cebu.
Early this year, AppleOne partnered with Radisson Hotel Group to build the first five-star hotel and internationally branded residences in Cagayan de Oro City, the country’s fourth-largest metropolitan center and northern Mindanao’s business hub.
