MANILA, Philippines — Listed affordable housing developer 8990 Holdings Inc. has entered into a housing deal with the Quezon City government to provide 2,700 homes to local government employees and informal settlers.

Under the agreement, 8990 Holdings subsidiary 8990 Housing Development Corp. will provide 2,699 housing units to government employees and informal settler families in Quezon City.

The housing units will be located in the 8990’s new four-tower Urban Deca Homes Commonwealth project near Batasan Road in Brgy. Commonwealth.

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte said the innovative project supports the dream of every Filipino family to own a home.

“2,699 homes will be immediately made available to beneficiaries from District 2,” Belmonte said.

Belmonte praised 8990 for “building a beautiful development for low-income earners since they deserve the best.”

8990 Housing Development chairman Mariano Martinez Jr. said the project is the first housing project wherein they have partnered with a local government unit.

With the project, Martinez hopes the community will be “closer to an inclusive and empowered Quezon City.”
