MANILA, Philippines — The London School Economics (LSE) International Development Review is proud to announce the appointment of Anna Mae Yu Lamentillo as the new editor in chief.

Lamentillo succeeds Hannah Pimentel, who previously led the journal with distinction.

Lamentillo, currently pursuing an MSc in Cities at the LSE, brings a wealth of experience in governance, infrastructure and sustainable development to the student-led publication.

The LSE International Development Review, published by the LSESU International Development Society, is a journal that aims to advance discussions in the field of international development.

It focuses on sustainable development discourse and covers topics such as politics, development studies, migration studies, political economy, human development, environment, and global health.

The journal is dedicated to unmasking the complexities of development management through cutting-edge policy debates and forward-thinking propositions.

In her role as editor in chief, Lamentillo will be working closely with Caitlin Rieuwers and Imane Belrhiti, the newly appointed associate editors, to further the journal’s mission of fostering academic rigor and innovative policy solutions.

Lamentillo succeeds Pimentel, whose leadership helped establish the journals reputation as a leading platform for student-driven discourse on international development.

Commenting on her appointment, Lamentillo said: I am deeply honored to take on this role at such a pivotal time for international development discourse.

The LSE International Development Review is a unique platform for driving meaningful discussions and shaping forward-thinking policies.

I look forward to collaborating with Caitlin and Imane as we continue to challenge conventional wisdom and offer new perspectives on the most pressing issues of our time.”

The LSE International Development Review continues to set a high standard for student-led publications, and with Lamentillos leadership, it looks forward to another impactful year of contributions to the field of internationaldevelopment.
