Best practices in project management

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines —  The Center for Global Best Practices will host an in-person training titled “Project Management Essentials” on June 28, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City.

Organizations that value project management and invest in training have significantly higher project success rates versus those that undervalue or simply ignore project management. Maximize your project’s chances of success by mastering one of today’s key workplace skills – project management.

This one-day comprehensive training will provide you with project management fundamentals, best practices principles, practical insights, useful tools and expert knowledge for seamless project execution. The trainer will bridge theories with real-world applications and will differentiate among the four concepts of project management: temporary; unique; team, budget and schedule; and goal. Aligned with Project Management Institute (PMI) standards, this training will start with core concepts and framework, and will end with project evaluation and closure.

This world-class program will feature Kama Neson Ganeson, a Malaysia-based master trainer for various management systems including ISO 9001, 10002, 14001, 18001, 22301, 31000, 20000, TS16949 and 27001.  He has rolled out many international quality training programs in Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines both for the public and private sectors with stellar brands such as AMEX, Sitel, Toshiba, Fujitsu, McDonalds, Jollibee, BDO, SM, Metrobank, Cebu Pacific, SSS, PhilHealth and many more. He recently retired as vice president, head of total quality management and chief risk officer of Megawide Corp.  In his four-year stint with the company, he was also the designated coach and master trainer on various training programs for all frontline directors and project managers.

Registration is open to the general public. A must for business owners and decision makers, project managers, team leaders, key management officers, and everyone involved in creating, implementing, executing, monitoring and reporting on projects.
