MANILA, Philippines — Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI)’s foray into the Luzon market continues to gain traction, with Cavite emerging as a strong contender to be among its initial locations.
“Definitely, a lot of land owners are knocking on our doors. We need to filter this out well but we’re eyeing Cavite development,” CLI COO Jose Franco Soberano said.
“Camarines Sur was our original exploratory area but now, Cavite is coming in strong. Now we have a few partnership opportunities in the heart of Metro Manila as well,” he said.
CLI has previously expressed plans to expand in Luzon after establishing leadership in Visayas and Mindanao.
For its Luzon foray, CLI is looking to expand into areas with high growth potential.
“We’re excited to see how well our projects will perform. Will we have the same velocity? Will we have better than what we’re doing in Visayas and Mindanao? We’re excited how well we can compete using the values that helped us get where we are,” he said.
CLI is committed to expanding its footprint around the country, with P27.65 billion pipeline projects.
The company is eyeing to introduce its first project in General Santos soon and is also continuously working on land acquisition initiatives in Luzon.
In the first quarter, CLI saw its net income to parent rise by 15 percent to P978 million driven by the robust growth across its business segments.
Revenues of the company for the period jumped by 31 percent to P6.2 billion from last year’s P4.8 billion.
