MANILA, Philippines — MerryMart Consumer Corp. of tycoon Edgar “Injap” Sia II is raising its sales revenue target for 2030 by 25 percent as it ramps up its expansion.

From the original target of P120 billion, MerryMart has adjusted its 2030 vision to generate consolidated system wide sales revenue of P150 billion.

The hike is part of the group’s commitment to transform MerryMart as a major consumer group in the Philippines.

“When we set our vision and goals, we give it a lot of serious and deep thought, and once set, myself and our team pour our heart and soul toward that. The journey to achieving them is expectedly never a straight line, but our team are firmly determined and ready to put in the required careful planning, and intense execution towards our passionate desire to turn the set goals and vision to reality,” Sia said.

With the continuous expansion of its brick and mortar stores, the MerryMart group now has a total of 127 operating branches nationwide.

MerryMart’s different formats include MerryMart Store, MerryMart Market, MerryMart Grocery, MerryMart Delivery and MerryMart Wholesale.

MerryMart Wholesale, for its part, recently marked a milestone of exceeding 200,000 total registered members.

MerryMart is also focusing on further enhancements in the MerryMart Wholesale’s super app, which is seeing an exponential growth in registered users.

MerryMart expects the user base of the MerryMart Wholesale e-commerce platform to grow to 500,000 this year and carry over 15,000 essential products that businesses, offices and households consume.

The company is also set to complete a new two-hectare distribution center in Laguna this year, which will enable MerryMart Wholesale to significantly widen its market coverage and make its current logistics operations more efficient.

MerryMart said the new distribution center is also in preparation to adopt the use of electric trucks in its delivery fleet.

To achieve its first 10-distribution center network nationwide, MerryMart said distribution center locations in Tarlac and Laguna would be followed by the roll out of two in Luzon, three in Visayas and three in Mindanao.

The MerryMart Wholesale e-commerce platform, supported by the group’s modern distribution centers, is expected to eventually be available in all the 82 provinces of the Philippines.
