MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Retailers Association (PRA) has lauded President Marcos’ appointment of Frederick Go as presidential adviser for investment and economic affairs.

PRA president Roberto Claudio said the decision to appoint Go reflects a discerning choice, citing his exceptional representation of the private sector and recognizing his potential to make a significant contribution to national economic development.

“It is with immense pride and joy that we extend our warmest congratulations to you on your recent appointment as the secretary of the Office of the Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs (OSAPIEA) by President Marcos,” Claudio said.

Go previously served as PRA president. It was during his term that the retailers group won the bid for the Philippines to host the Asia-Pacific Retailers Convention and Exhibition in 2015.

Before his appointment as adviser, he was a PRA director and president of Robinsons Land Corp.

Claudio said the PRA applauds Go for his dedication and steadfast support, not only for the growth and development of the retail sector but also for the overall economic progress of the nation.

“As secretary of the OSAPIEA, we are confident that his extensive experience and visionary leadership will guide the OSAPIEA to new heights of success,” Claudio said.

He said Go’s passion for driving positive change and his relentless pursuit of excellence are qualities that will make a lasting impact in his new capacity.
