MANILA, Philippines — The Antonio Group has partnered with French multinational hospitality company Accor as part of its foray into the hotel business.
Century Properties Group Inc. (CPGI), the real estate firm of the Antonio Group, has unveiled Novotel Suites Manila at Acqua with the goal of capturing a huge pie of the business and leisure hotel market.
In a press conference late Tuesday, CPGI president and CEO Marco Antonio said the launch of the 152-room Novotel Suites Manila at Acqua supports the group’s tourism push.
“With the renewed interest in travel globally, having Novotel Suites Manila at Acqua to host travellers will further boost the Philippine government’s push to bolster the tourism industry,” Antonio said.
For his part, Garth Simmons, CEO of Accor’s Premium, Midscale & Economy division in Asia, said: “The opening of Novotel Suites Manila at Acqua underlines our long-term commitment to expand our portfolio in the Philippines. Novotel’s relaxed and lively atmosphere resonates with our guests, we are delighted to offer the second Novotel address for travellers, long-staying guests and locals to work, play and relax.”
The new hotel is located in the center of Metro Manila’s major business district, in an area bordering Makati on Coronado Street in Mandaluyong City.
It is targeting the business and leisure travellers, said Antonio.
CPGI is open to more partnerships with Accor, depending on the market and the opportunities.
The hotel features 152 rooms and suites with contemporary design. The 31-square meter standard rooms, equipped with an ample workspace, are ideal for corporate travellers while families and long-staying guests can stay at the suites, ranging from a 45-sqm deluxe suite, and a 75 sqm superior suite, to a bigger 91 sqm premier suite.
Some suites have a 180-degree view of the city through its curved floor-to-ceiling window. All suites come with spacious working, living, and dining areas, as well as a kitchen equipped with a microwave, Nespresso machine, induction cooker, cooking equipment and cutlery.
“Guests will feel the warmth of home at Novotel Suites Manila at Acqua. It will usher in a new concept of ‘home away from home’ experience for long-stay travellers who are in Manila for business and for families who are in search of a weekend leisure,” said Raul Aquino, general manager of Novotel Suites Manila at Acqua.
