MANILA, Philippines — Cemex Holdings Philippines Inc. (CHP), a leading cement manufacturer in the Philippines, achieved a notable performance in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) 2022, ranking in the top 25 percent of the construction materials industry.

This marked the first time CHP participated in the CSA, ranking way above industry mean for environmental, social and governance (ESG) and economic indicators.

It performed well in several ESG dimensions such as talent attraction and retention, occupational health and safety, operational eco-efficiency, and business ethics.

The S&P Global CSA is an annual evaluation of the sustainability practices of over 10,000 companies around the globe, across different industries covering ESG criteria. The CSA results are used to determine the composition and weighting of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices, one of the most prestigious global benchmarks for corporate sustainability.

“We are very proud of this achievement, which reflects the importance of sustainability in our business strategy and creating value for our stakeholders,” said Luis Franco, president and CEO of CHP. “We will continue to pursue excellence in sustainability, as part of our vision to build a better future for everyone.”
