Guide to parliamentary rules for effective company meetings

MANILA, Philippines — If you want to have an effective, efficient and systematic conduct of meetings, you must use the proven and globally recognized parliamentary procedure that will define the rules of order on meetings.  One who has mastery of it will have more productive meetings, deliberations, debates and crafting of policies.

To help the presiding officers, members of the board and committees, the Center for Global Best Practices will host a two-session online training titled, Simplified Guide to Parliamentary Procedures for Highly Effective Corporate Meetings, on Oct. 12 and 13  via Zoom, from 1:30 to 4:45 p.m.

This comprehensive training will cover important topics such as how to conduct meetings and sessions, rules on quorum, order of business, debates, voting committees and their reports, rules of order and standing rules, different kinds of motions, resolutions and many more.

This program is applicable for all types of corporations and organizations (civic, profit, non-profit, private, etc.), deliberative bodies including national government agencies, local government units, GOCCs and anyone interested in mastering the parliamentary procedures – which is not taught in any schools.

This program will feature, Atty. Amado Formoso Maralit, the chief parliamentarian of the Philippine Senate. He is an authority that provides expert guidance on all parliamentary matters to senators. He likewise lectures and coaches chief executives, chairmen and board directors, leaders in both government and the private sectors on the conduct of meetings, sessions, deliberations. He graduated magna cum laude with the Doctor of Civil Law at the University of Santo Tomas, Master’s of Public Administration at the University of the Philippines, and Masters of Laws at the University City of Manila.
