Concepcion Industries names Fermin as new CEO

MANILA, Philippines — Concepcion Industries Corp., the listed provider of air conditioning solutions, refrigerators and other industrial solutions, announced yesterday the appointment of Isaias Ariel Fermin as its new CEO effective Jan. 1, 2024.

“After careful consideration and with full confidence, I, Raul Joseph A. Concepcion, chairman of CIC, am delighted to inform you of the approval by our board of directors for the appointment of Isaias Ariel Fermin, known to many as Ariel, as our new CEO,” Concepcion said in the company’s announcement yesterday.

Concepcion is chairman and president of CIC. It has no listed CEO in its PSE profile.

In its disclosure yesterday, CIC said Fermin brings to CIC a wealth of experience and  distinguished track record of leadership across various industries from food to consumer goods.

He has held senior leadership positions at multinational companies such as Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, Uniliver and Nike as well as local publicly listed companies namely Max’s Group Inc., Jollibee Foods Corp. and PLDT.

Fermin said he is happy to lead CIC as the company enters its new chapter.

“I am honored to lead CIC during this exciting chapter. I look forward to building ‘happy spaces’ with CIC and creating a significant impact in nurturing the family’s legacy and steering CIC to a very bright future,” Fermin said.

Concepcion said he is confident that Fermin would be able to steer the family-founded legacy company to greater heights.
