Upson to open more concept stores
MANILA, Philippines — Newly listed IT products retailer Upson International Corp. continues to expand its network with the opening of more concept stores.
It announced the opening of TP-Link concept store within the cyberzone of SM North EDSA in Quezon City.
This is the first TP-Link store of Upson and is an important milestone as the company continues to build partnerships and identify ways to increase access to technology for customers, said Upson CEO Arlene Sy.
“Across our nine product categories, networking revenues have grown consistently since 2020. TP-Link has long been known for offering a portfolio of affordable and reliable consumer and business networking products, such as hubs, routers, switches, cables, and more,” Sy said.
She said the opening of concept stores would enable the company to showcase its products better.
“There are still a lot of product models aside from the ones that are popularly sold, and we would like to showcase those in a shopping space that is focused on their discovery. We specifically selected SM North Edsa because of its prime location and accessibility to nearby cities such as Caloocan and Valenzuela, as well as to the province of Bulacan,” Sy said.
“Upson has earned a reputation for integrity and fair dealing. We are eager to collaborate with them. With our shared ambition of enabling digital transformation and deeper customer connectivity, this store will bring an expanded range of TP-Link merchandise including indoor and outdoor wireless and wired systems for small to large enterprise networks,” TP-Link Philippines country manager Ben Chen said.
Concept stores are dedicated stores that provide a full product suite of a single IT brand.
As of June 30, Upson owns and operates a total of 11 concept stores for Acer, HP, Brother and Silvertec.
Upson also announced the opening of six new Acer concept stores this year.
Upson is the largest IT retailer in the Philippines with over 200 stores and a track record of accessibility, availability, authenticity, and effective supply chain.
The brands it carries include Octagon, Micro Valley, Gadget King, Octagon Mobile, and concept stores.
