AG&P bags $360 million new contracts in Q1

Richmond Mercurio - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The AG&P Group, through subsidiary AG&P Industrial, said it has won five new contracts totaling $360 million in the first quarter across the Philippines, Australia, the Middle East and Europe.

AG&P said all of the awarded projects are geared toward bringing down emissions, lowering pollution, improving energy efficiency and bringing in cleaner fuels.

For the Philippines, it secured a contract for a new 15-megawatt data center and energy building in Metro Manila.

Also among the projects is a clean fuels refinery upgrade project in Australia, where AG&P will manufacture desulphurization process modules and pipe racks in its state-of-the art manufacturing facilities in Batangas.

“AG&P’s Industrial goes from strength to strength with the award of five major contracts in the first quarter of 2023, all from blue chip, global corporations for mission-critical projects in Europe, the Middle East, Australia and, of course, in the Philippines,” AG&P Group chairman and CEO Joseph Sigelman said.

“AG&P is proud to be delivering clean fuel upgrades to leading, international refineries and petrochemical plants, digital infrastructure and another state-of-the-art LNG terminal, plus critical facilities to continue the rapid development of the Philippines economy,” he said.

Sigelman said the group is looking forward to a busy 2023, with a special focus on LNG and gas.

AG&P Industrial, which specializes in project delivery, has also undertaken the full spectrum of engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation and commissioning of AG&P’s Philippines LNG (PHLNG) import terminal in Batangas Bay.

PHLNG is the first LNG terminal in the Philippines and the first modular LNG terminal in the world.

AG&P Industrial will also be responsible for its operations and maintenance.

AG&P said the PHLNG is a landmark development that would serve to jumpstart the Philippines’ LNG importation and regasification ability.

The company said the import terminal would accelerate industrialization, create jobs, lower pollution and trigger overall economic and social progress and improve the quality of life for many thousands of Filipinos.

AG&P recently brought to the Philippines the country’s maiden LNG cargo following the arrival and successful berthing of the ISH floating storage unit at the import terminal.

“Leveraging our strong project management and project development capabilities, we will provide the full spectrum of services across the industrial value chain from engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning, up to operations and maintenance of high-value assets and work hard to deliver to our clients on schedule and on-budget,” AG&P Industrial president Alex Gamboa said.
