Megaworld to build P98 billion township in Bulacan
MANILA, Philippines — Andrew Tan-led Megaworld is pouring in P98 billion in the province of Bulacan to develop a new 85-hectare mixed-use township.
Northwin Global City, along the North Luzon Expressway, is envisioned to become a major catalyst for economic growth in the province dubbed as the “gateway to Northern Philippines,” according to Megaworld chief strategy officer Kevin Tan.
It will be developed in the tradition of Megaworld’s other township developments namely Eastwood City in Quezon City, Uptown Bonifacio and McKinley Hill in Taguig City, and Iloilo Business Park in Mandurriao, Iloilo, Tan said.
“We are delighted to finally bring our vision for Bulacan’s first-ever global business district to reality here in Northwin Global City,” he said.
Megaworld has commenced construction of the project and hopes to add value to the province by helping create jobs and opportunities through the township.
Northwin Global City will straddle between the municipalities of Marilao and Bocaue and will feature a 16-hectare CBD called “Northwin Main Street.”
Tan said the district draws inspiration from the master plan behind New York City’s Fifth Avenue and will have corporate buildings, hotels, and mixed-use commercial towers.
The township will also have several high-rise residential condominiums, foremost of which is the 23-story 9 Central Park that was launched last year.
Other features of Northwin Global City include its a lifestyle mall, educational institutions, and gardens and parks that make up about forty percent of the entire development.
