MANILA, Philippines — Emperador Inc. expects stronger sales in North America in 2023 after a strong performance this year.
Emperador International CEO Glenn Manlapaz said the company’s efforts toward globalization are paying off.
“After performing well this year, we expect Emperador Brandy sales in North America to be even stronger in 2023,” Manlapaz said.
He said sales of Emperador Brandy products in North America grew this year on the back of increased distribution, visibility and availability. At present, the products are available in different establishments across the United States and Canada.
The company has managed to penetrate some of the biggest supermarket store operators in the US, Manlapaz said in a statement.
Emperador Light, for example, is available in 229 outlets of Albertsons, an American grocery company founded and headquartered in Boise, Idaho.
It is the second largest supermarket chain in North America with over 2,200 stores.
Seafood City, meanwhile, carries Emperador Light, Emperador Solera, Emperador Gold Limited Edition, Emperador Red and Emperador Hotshot, which are available in the supermarket chain’s 27 stores.
Seafood City is a big supermarket chain headquartered in Pomona, California with branches in California, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada and Washington.
99 Ranch Market, a Taiwanese-American supermarket chain based in Buena Park, California sells Emperador Solera, Light, Gold Limited Edition, Red and Hotshot.
Emperador Red is available in 76 stores of BevMo!, a specialty beverage retailer in the West Coast.
BevMo! stores are located throughout California, Arizona, Washington as well as online.
Emperador Solera, Light, Gold Limited Edition, and Hotshot, meantime, are available in 89 outlets of Total Wine & More across Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Texas and California.
With a focus on brandy and whisky, Emperador owns Whyte and Mackay, the world’s fifth largest Scotch whisky producer.
