MANILA, Philippines — State-run Land Bank of the Philippines is backing the development programs of Navotas City through the provision of funding requirements for its socioeconomic initiatives.

Landbank president and CEO Cecilia Borromeo recently met with local government officials of Navotas to discuss ongoing and potential collaboration programs for the city’s residents.

This is aimed at fulfilling socioeconomic initiatives and driving local recovery and inclusive development.

For one, Landbank has extended financing to the city through the Restoration and Invigoration package for a Self-sufficient Economy towards Upgrowth for LGUs.

The funding will be used for the enhancement of the Navotas City Hospital (NCH) and the acquisition of various laboratory equipment and generator sets, among others.

Landbank aided the city in the construction of infrastructure projects such as the NCH, the Navotas Columbarium and Crematory, training center, medical and wellness center, and street lights.

Landbank and the LGU also teamed up to provide residents with a safe and efficient online payment facility to settle local government fees.

Through Landbank’s online portal, residents can pay their real property taxes, business taxes, and other financial obligations to the local government at their convenience.
