SM opens 8th Cavite mall

MANILA, Philippines — SM Prime Holdings is expanding its mall footprint in Cavite.

SM City Tanza will be the eight SM Supermall in Cavite when it opens today.

SM Prime president Jeffrey Lim said the new SM mall can help small and medium enterprises in the province.

“With the continuous improvement in our local economy, we hope that SM City Tanza will be an avenue of opportunities for local SMSEs to grow as well as for local employment to prosper and drive progress not only in Tanza but in the whole province of Cavite,” Lim said.

SM City Tanza will span almost 60,000 square meters (sqm) of gross floor area providing an exciting combination of shopping, dining and entertainment experiences in the Municipality of Tanza, Cavite’s “Gateway Terminal.

It will open along Antero Soriano Highway, Barangay Daang Amaya II, Tanza, Cavite, with 89 percent of space lease awarded.

SM City Tanza will house five cinemas to cater to the growing movie and entertainment enthusiasts in Tanza, a cyberzone for tech savvies, a food court for more dining options, and a carpark with almost 800 slots for added convenience to its guests.

It will also have public transport terminals for inter-province and inter-region accesses that will further boost tourism and commerce in the area.

“We are excited to welcome everyone to SM City Tanza as this marks another milestone and partnership between SM Prime and the province of Cavite, specifically with the municipality of Tanza. It is our aim to offer shopping convenience and fun entertainment to the communities around the area as well as visitors of Cavite and other neighboring destinations in the region,” Lim said.

SM’s other malls in Cavite include SM City Bacoor, SM City and Market Mall both in Dasmarinas, SM City Molino, SM City Rosario, SM City Trece Martires and SM Center Imus.
