MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Retailers Association, the national organization of retailers, shopping malls and suppliers in the country, is staging its first-ever people focused event – the Retail Leaders Summit 2022 on Oct. 27 to 28 via Zoom.
The summit participants are expected to learn from industry experts who will share their knowledge in running businesses while facing challenges from competition, as well as those that are brought up by the continuing evolution of the business environment.
“Competition is now tougher than ever. Striving to be the best is one thing but consistently making the smart and practical business decision is everything. To stay ahead of the competition, leaders must equip themselves with fresh perspectives through innovative ideas,” said PRA president Rosemarie Bosch Ong, who’s also the SEVP and COO of Wilcon Depot Inc.
The two-day virtual summit is designed to develop the next generation of leaders, founders, top executives, senior and middle managers, supervisors, start-ups and entrepreneurs. It also aims to uncover ‘New Retail Mindset’ ideas, share perspectives on strategy and leadership towards creating future-ready retail leaders, and stay competitive in the market with leading local and global companies, influencers and advisors.
Day 1 of the summit features managing director for Southeast Asia of Labbrand, Jessalynn Chen, who will help establish a new retail mindset through her brand focused session on “How Brands Can Stand Out at Retail.” The session will be delving into key branding opportunities and the importance of building a strong brand value for customers to recognize and trust.
For Day 2, Goldratt Consulting principal, Nikhil Shah, will present his session on “Stabilizing and Accelerating Business Performance through Theory of Constraints (TOC) based Holistic Retail Management” to help retailers know the engine of disruption in the industry and how to drive stability across merchandise management processes via three key levers of automation, system control and synchronization.
