InfiniVAN bags ISO certification
MANILA, Philippines — InfiniVAN Inc., a subsidiary of Japan-listed IPS Inc. and bulk bandwidth supplier to the largest internet service providers (ISPs) in the Philippines, has been awarded the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification for its quality management system (QMS) that secures the quality and reliability of services to its customers.
The ISO 9001:2015 badge is the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system. This is part of InfiniVAN’s commitment to be recognized as a company that redefines the standards of quality and service in the telco industry.
“We moved toward ISO certification because we aim to be the benchmark for telecommunications and digital solutions and prove it too. With the ISO certification, our customers will be assured of the quality of our service and our commitment to continually improve on our offerings. It will demonstrate our mission and vision towards continuous and sustainable improvement,” InfiniVAN COO Edgardo Opulencia said.
InfiniVAN is part of a telco consortium laying down the country’s longest submarine fiber optic cable network, the Philippine Domestic Submarine Cable Network (PDSCN), along with Eastern Communications and Globe Telecom.
The $150-million joint-build project of the three telcos targets to enhance the coverage and reliability of broadband connections, both fixed and mobile, throughout the country with the rollout of more than 2,500 kilometers of fiber optic cables connecting Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
