BDO is now WorldRemit’s largest remittance partner

MANILA, Philippines — BDO Unibank Inc. is now the largest partner of global digital money transfer service provider WorldRemit, as remittances from overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are expected to hit record levels with the reopening of economies from strict COVID-19 lockdowns.

Earl Melivo, country director for the Philippines of WorldRemit, said the country’s biggest bank is now the company’s largest partner in terms of volume under its partnership for the past 10 years.

“We’ve been privileged to partner with BDO for many years. Together, we have built a trusted pathway for OFWs to send money home to friends, family and loved ones,” Melivo said.

BDO Kabayan Savings is the flagship financial solution which BDO Remit offers to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and beneficiaries to help build a secure future.
