Hot pot chain Haidilao opens in Philippines next month
MANILA, Philippines — Chinese hot pot chain Haidilao International Holding Ltd. is entering the Philippine market by opening its first outlet next month, according to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
The trade department said Haidilao is set to open its first branch next month and its expected to expand and set up other outlets within the year.
The expansion, it said, is seen generating at least 400 jobs.
The Chinese hot pot chain intends to offer quality food at reasonable prices.
In catering to the local market, it also intends to fuse the Filipino taste into its menu.
Since 2020, DTI representative office Philippine Trade and Investment Center – Hong Kong (PTIC-HK) has been providing assistance to Haidilao in their plans to expand in the Philippines.
Both PTIC-HK and PTIC-Guangzhou assisted in the sending of a team for the opening of Haidilao’s first branch in the Philippines.
Founded in Sichuan Province of China in 1994, the brand has become a world-renowned catering enterprise.
Haidilao currently owns over 1,000 restaurants in China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Australia, US, United Kingdom, Canada, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, and Japan.
For the hot pot chain, customer experience is a priority, as it goes beyond providing food and beverages.
Other services include complimentary manicure for waiting guests and noodle acrobat.
