Smashburger opens new store in Colorado

MANILA, Philippines — Jollibee Group-owned Smashburger has opened a new store in Colorado.

It is the first Smashburger to open with a full bar, offering a variety of ice-cold beers on draft and cans along with signature cocktails such as Blackberry Smash, Smoke & Spice Margarita, Smash Rum Punch, Coconut Mule, and more.

“This new Smashburger concept sets itself apart from our traditional locations with an elevated dining experience and we are thrilled to bring our first full bar restaurant to our hometown in Denver,” said Carl Bachmann, president of Smashburger.

The new store is located in Lowry Town Center at Mile High City, which is the is the brand’s 24th store in the state of Colorado.

“Now the residents near Lowry Town Center and the surrounding community will have the opportunity to enjoy a great tasting, high quality burger accompanied by a refreshing cocktail or beer, all at an affordable price,” Bachmann said.

The Jollibee Group took full ownership of Smashburger in 2018.

With Smashburger as part of its portfolio, Jollibee plans to open more stores this year as part of the company’s aggressive expansion plan in North America.

The Jollibee Group plans to be among the top five restaurant companies in the world.

Smashburger uses only 100 percent fresh Certified Angus Beef for its burgers. The rest of the menu features grilled and crispy chicken sandwiches, turkey and black bean burgers, and fresh salads, with signature sides such as fries and vegetable dishes.

At present, Jollibee is present in 34 countries, with over 5,800 stores globally.

Aside from the Philippines, it has branches in the US, Canada, China, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Vietnam, Brunei, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Egypt, Panama, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan and India.

The different stores carry eight wholly owned brands namely Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, Mang Inasal, Yonghe King, Hong Zhuang Yuan and Smashburger. It also has  six franchised brands, Burger King, Panda Express, PHO24 and Yoshinoya in the Philippines and Dunkin’ and Tim Ho Wan in certain territories in China.
