Slew of large-scale infra projects in Cebu drives up housing demand
MANILA, Philippines — The industrialization of Cebu is fast catching up with that of Metro Manila and environs, due in no small part to large-scale infrastructure projects.
Post-completion, the Metro Cebu Expressway, Cebu Bus Rapid Transit and Cebu-Mactan Bridge are primed to drastically reduce travel time between Metro Cebu and other key towns and cities in the province.
This development has prompted Bria Homes, one of the country’s leading developers of affordable housing, to pursue its projects in the region—and to train its sights on Cebu.
Among the first to ride on this positive trend, Bria Homes has rolled out a condo building in Mactan and a housing community in Danao, two properties in its portfolio that have optimum potential for fast value appreciation.
Bria Condo Mactan, a mid-rise condominium in Sudtunggan, Lapu-Lapu City, is located within Mactan Island, which boasts proximity to the award-winning Mactan-Cebu International Airport and is host to world-class hotels, resorts and restaurants.
The project will likewise benefit from the soon-to-be-completed Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX), which, Bria Homes division head Eduardo Aguilar said “will put Bria Condo Mactan on the radar of prospective investors that are eyeing properties in highly urbanized cities outside Metro Manila and Luzon.”
On the other hand, Bria Homes Danao, an expansive horizontal development in the highly urbanized city of Danao, features sports and recreational facilities that help homeowners foster warm and friendly community vibes. This residential enclave is secured by perimeter fences, guarded entrances and exits, and 24-hour CCTV coverage; has multipurpose halls and wide-open walkable green spaces; and promotes a sustainable eco-friendly lifestyle.
