DM Wenceslao, Landers sign lease deal for Aseana branch

MANILA, Philippines — D.M. Wenceslao & Associates Inc. (DMW), is hosting retail giant Landers Superstores in Aseana City.

DMW signed a contract of lease with Landers for a 15,064 square meter parcel of land in Aseana City for a 25-year term.

Landers is a major membership shopping chain in the country with several branches in Metro Manila as well as in Cebu.

DMW chief executive officer Delfin Angelo ‘Buds’ Wenceslao said the  new lease would provide recurring income to the company.

“We are excited to host Landers in Aseana City; not only will this land lease be recurring income accretive to DMW but will also advance our efforts to further increasing the diversity of major brands and essential locators in Aseana City,” Wenceslao said.

Landers Superstores offer a wide array of local and international finds along with delectable in-house dining options.

It also has a major following among Filipino shoppers.

“Landers has amassed a significant following over the years; we look forward to the additional draw and the critical mass that Landers will bring to Aseana,” Wenceslao said.

DMW has expertise in land reclamation, construction, and real estate development.

It is the master developer and primary owner of Aseana City, a development project with a total land area of 107.5 hectares located along the coastal waters of Manila Bay.

It has reclaimed more than 2.4 million square meters of land, leased or developed 250,000 square meters of land and buildings, and completed over 140 construction and infrastructure projects including large, complex government developments throughout the Philippines.

The company is owned by the Wenceslao family, which increased its stake in DMW through the family-owned holding company WHC Inc.

Just recently, the company expanded its footprint outside Aseana City with a new development in Makati.

DMW inaugurated 58 Jupiter, a five-story mixed-use building with over 2,000 square meters of gross leasable area located along Jupiter Street in Makati.

The completion of 58 Jupiter brought DMW’s total building leasing space to over 162,000 sqm.
