DHL Express partners with GrabPay
MANILA, Philippines — International express service provider DHL Express has tapped Grab’s mobile wallet GrabPay to provide its customers with an easy and efficient online payment alternative.
DHL has teamed up with GrabPay to provide a billing solution that enables customers to pay, keep track of, record, and automatically reconcile payments in real-time.
With an average of more than 20,000 cash transactions per month, DHL expects the partnership to help users settle their shipping fees quickly, securely, and hassle-free.
All cash transactions, freight, or duty-catered by DHL service points and couriers can now be completed using GrabPay.
“The DHL e-payment option of GrabPay is among our newest comprehensive billing solutions for on-route cash shipments and those collected or dropped off at our service points,” DHL Express Philippines chief financial officer Vince Alcuran said.
DHL Express couriers or service point personnel will generate a QR code on their handheld device and show it to customers during shipment collection, delivery, or drop-off. Customers can use their mobile phone’s Grab app to scan and pay.
Once credited, the payment status on the courier’s handheld device will be automatically updated. After each successful transaction, a successful payment confirmation will be displayed in real-time on the customer’s mobile phone, and DHL will also provide an official receipt.
“We are pleased to offer our customers the flexibility of payment options while meeting their shipping requirements. Furthermore, there will be no additional fees when using GrabPay as a payment method – which truly aligns with our goals of providing fast and convenient service,” Alcuran said.
