MANILA, Philippines — The biggest and most important retail industry event in the country – the National Retail Conference and Stores Asia Expo (NRCE) – will be back for its 27th edition this year as industry players pursue a new roadmap that will trigger a “retail reboot” for the new normal.
The virtual 27th NRCE, which will showcase experts who will share ways to shape a collective vision to drive innovation and achieve sustainability goals while transitioning to a better normal, is organized by the Philippine Retailers Association and is slated on Aug. 12 and 13.
As retailers and allied industries are set to forge ahead, the industry event by retailers for retailers will feature transformative, strategic and inspiring learning sessions to help businesses create a definitive action plan to help them go beyond and achieve a successful retail reboot.
“Retailers are now faced with questions like: How do you curate your strategies to help your business move forward? How do you launch an innovation? How do you turn your company’s weaknesses into strengths to withstand all the difficulties a crisis could bring? And, how do you create an action plan that will help your business grow more? These are just some of the challenges that we will try to address at this year’s NRCE,” PRA president Rosemarie Bosch Ong, who’s also the SEVP and COO of Wilcon Depot Inc. said.
Gracing the much-awaited comeback of the 27th NRCE is founder of The Retail Prophet, best-selling author, retail futurist and Fortune 100 business advisor, Doug Stephens, who will walk us through “The Future of Retail: Navigating Through a Post-Pandemic World”.
Joining him on Aug. 12 (Day 1) are SM Supermalls vice president for corporate strategy, Gino Borromeo who will give an innovative session on “Reimagining the Mall of the Future,” managing consultant Prof. Francis Loseo of iLeap Consulting International, who will help retailer build “Resilience (AQ) and GRIT: The Defense and Offense in Achieving your Peak Performance,” best selling author of Retail Pride Ron Thurston, who’s making a firm statement through his session, “The Future of Retail is People” and Claire Boscq-Scott, Founder and CEO of The Busy Queen Bee, who will give an exclusive insight on “Redefining CX Experience in the Next Normal.“
