Villar housing unit to put up affordable condo for millennials

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The residential arm of publicly listed property firm Golden MV Holdings of the Villar Group has branched out into condominium development, particularly targeting millennials looking for convenient yet affordable work-from-home options.

Astra Vertical Villages, the newest project of Bria Homes, is being marketed as the ideal home for millennials because of its starter-pack price of as low as P10,000 monthly amortization through flexible payment schemes.

Set to rise in three progressive cities: General Trias, Cavite; Calamba, Laguna; and Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental, Astra will include provisions for a school, a wet and dry market and a food park. In addition, amenities usually unheard of in affordable high-rises will be offered: a communal clubhouse with function halls, swimming pools, play areas, and gym facilities.

These four-story mid-rise condo properties feature 24-square-meter units with bedroom, dining and kitchen area, living area, and toilet and bath.

Bria Homes president Red Rosales said he is confident that the young generation of Filipinos has become more financially savvy than their elders. “The health crisis has truly made them wiser and more practical. They now acknowledge that property is the safest investment because of its projected appreciation over the years.”

He said since the coronavirus pandemic has changed millennials’ spending patterns, with health protocols restricting their social lives and putting a damper on their travel plans, these young adults are now investing their money in property.

Bria Homes now has over 50 projects in 40 locations in the Philippines.
