PLDT Global boosts gateway in Japan

MANILA, Philippines — The international arm of telco giant PLDT Inc. has launched its points of presence in Japan to accelerate digital connectivity for enterprises there.

PLDT Global Corp. said a point of presence serves as a gateway or an access point for networks to interconnect.

By expanding its network services, the company will be able to provide a stronger and wider interconnection service to its international clients.

“This challenging period gave us the important opportunity to innovate more and come up with fresh solutions that serve our customers in a simpler, faster, and more responsive way. It pushed us to do more with less and work harder with our partners to create a new and better normal for all our customers,” PLDT Global president and CEO Katrina Luna-Abelarde said.

Backed by the carrier ethernet network technology, PLDT Global will provide data solutions and will enable businesses from Japan to interconnect to any part of the world.

Aside from Japan, PLDT Global also has physical points of presence in the UK, US, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Philippines.
