MANILA, Philippines — Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. (TMP) has rolled out a solution to help businesses manage their fleet.
In a statement, TMP said the Toyota Fleet Connected Service is the first automotive GPS system designed specifically for Toyota vehicles to assist business owners and operators manage their vehicle assets.
TMP is making the solution available as part of its aim to continuously innovate mobility services in the country.
Through the device installed on the vehicle, business owners and operators can get information such as real-time location, status and even unusual driver behavior.
The device also records when a vehicle enters and exits a virtual boundary through the geofencing function.
Businesses would likewise be informed if the device is disconnected or tampered with.
They can monitor the information transmitted from the device to the G-Fleet System through a computer or any mobile device.
“With a connected device that tracks real-time data of fleet vehicles, companies are able to maximize efficiency and ultimately aid in improving business profitability,” TMP said.
The device is compatible with the 2016 to present Vios, Innova, Hiace, Hilux, Fortuner, Avanza, Corolla Altis, Rush and Wigo models.
TMP said the connected device would be made available in all other models soon.
The device will be installed at authorized Toyota dealers by certified technicians.
