PLDT Global expands AsPac digital services

MANILA, Philippines — The international subsidiary of the country’s largest integrated telco, PLDT Inc. is enhancing its digital services across Asia Pacific as it strikes a partnership with California-based digital infrastructure company Equinix.

PLDT Global Corp. has teamed up with Equinix for the delivery of a wider range of digital services for customers who are going through digital transformation and expansion beyond the Philippines.

Under the partnership, PLDT Global’s customers will be able to experience faster speeds of cloud connection, optimized bandwidth and cloud migration cost, enhanced business continuity services and improved security.

PLDT Global senior vice president and chief commercial officer Albert Villa-Real said the company would be working closely with Equinix to provide customers with a suite of services and help them reach their full digital potential.

“The global demand for faster, secured and more reliable connectivity has grown at an unprecedented scale. PLDT Global is committed to deliver solutions that address the changing network needs of businesses worldwide,” Villa-Real said.

“Through this expansion of Equinix’s partnership with the PLDT Group, we strengthen our foothold as a technology services provider and bring the digital transformation journey of our customers to the next level,” he said.

PLDT Global will also leverage Equinix’s ecosystem of partners and customers to reach more customers in the Asia Pacific, as well as Europe, Middle East and Africa and the Americas.

Through the Equinix platform, Massey said PLDT Global would be able to provide high-quality communications infrastructure and innovative solutions to its global network of carriers, enterprise customers and distribution partners across Asia-Pacific, including Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan.
