Converge names new senior executives

MANILA, Philippines — Newly listed Converge Information and Communications Technology Solutions Inc. has named new senior executives as part of the company’s growth plans.

The high-speed fixed broadband provider named Ulysses Naguit as chief information officer, Albert Santos as chief customer experience officer and Albert Custodio as senior human resources director.

Converge ICT founder and CEO Dennis Anthony H. Uy said the company is pleased to have industry experts join the management team.

“As we tread toward hyper growth and expansion, they will serve as the vanguards of our mission to connect the Philippines and allow them to reap the benefits of having high speed fixed broadband internet,” Uy said.

In all, Converge ICT plans to further expand its fiber infrastructure network beyond Luzon and link the region to Visayas and Mindanao by the end of 2021.

As of September 2020, the company raked in P10.67 billion in consolidated revenues, representing a 67 percent year on year growth.

In the same month, it deployed a record number of 173,680 fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) ports, marking the highest monthly port deployment in the company’s history.

It currently serves more than 900,000 residential subscribers.

Prior to joining Converge ICT, Naguit was part of Pangilinan-owned Voyager Innovations where he provided technology leadership for value creation and digital innovations.

He has a strong background in developing and deploying corporate information systems having worked with various companies with local and foreign business operations for the past 20 years in the areas which include investment management, fintech, telecommunication and cable television, according to Converge.

Santos meanwhile has built a successful career in the offshore and outsourcing industry.

As head of the Customer Experience, Santos is now tasked to constantly enrich the customer journey of Converge ICT’s Residential and Enterprise clients - from customer onboarding through installation, bill payment, and after-sales support.

This comes as Converge has been facing numerous customer complaints for non-availability or inefficient internet service.

Custodio for his part will bring to Converge his 24 years of solid experience and diverse expertise in various areas such as general HR management, recruitment and staffing, learning and development, organization development.

He gained considerable expertise having been exposed to top multinational companies across multiple industries including telecommunications, FMCG, life insurance, healthcare, hospitality, engineering and construction solutions, and consumer appliances.
