MANILA, Philippines — Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) is further ramping up its electronic channels, allowing end-to-end digital onboarding process amid the pandemic.
Its new platform, RCBC Touch, enables clients to open accounts in a safe, fast and easy manner.
“With the restricted living conditions that we are in right now and with people still apprehensive to go outside, we want to be able to provide a platform where it is safe, fast and easy to open an account with us,” said Richard Lim, head of the retail banking group at RCBC.
The Yuchengco-led bank is one of the first local universal banks to roll out a complete suite of digital banking services, from digital onboarding with RCBC Touch to account management with RCBC Online Banking.
The web-based platform provides a secured digital onboarding process and allows clients to open any type of deposit account. It offers more account type options, from a variety of savings and checking accounts and includes an electronic know-your-customer function to capture and validate customer data and submitted identification in real-time.
Activation of accounts for customers who opened from the safety of their homes via RCBC Touch website (https://touch.rcbc.com/) only takes a few minutes after a successful application.
This newest online solution is seen to provide a seamless and holistic customer experience as clients can be automatically enrolled in the RCBC online banking app.
The bank’s comprehensive online banking platform is equipped with a complete suite of banking services, making it easier for them to manage their accounts online. Clients also gain access to the bank’s ATM and branch network nationwide.
The bank also redesigned its branches to what is now called Branch of Today, offering digitized branch banking services for clients who still seek physical services for some banking transactions.
“We understand that adjusting to the new normal has not been easy for everyone and we will be here to guide and assist you until you trust and believe in this online solution,” Lim said.
The bank embarked on a massive digital transformation last year and was recently named the Best Digital Bank in the Philippines.
