MANILA, Philippines — Citicore Power Inc. has signed a supply agreement with homegrown clothing brand Bench to provide clean energy to its headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

In a statement, Citicore said the supply deal was signed by Ground 18 Realty Corp. for Bench and Citicore’s Retail Electricity Supply arm, Citicore Energy Solutions, Inc. (CESI).

“We thank Bench for entrusting us their power needs, We are delighted to partner with Bench in advocating corporate sustainability” Citicore president Oliver Tan said.

Citicore said it has started supplying clean energy to the 22-story Bench Tower on October 26.

“Citicore Power has a wide menu of energy solutions to address the evolving energy demand of customers and works with their clients closely to help them reduce electricity cost” said Bryan Lim, vice president for business development of Bench.

The move of Bench to utilize clean and renewable energy is in line with the numerous green initiatives already implemented in their 22-story commercial building.

The Bench tower is among the first green buildings within Fort Bonifacio. It is a LEED Certified building for Gold Standard that incorporates in the design a rain collector for water recycling, virtual garden wall, green pockets and properly oriented glass windows that allow natural lighting to penetrate.
