NGCP donates ambulances to more hospitals
MANILA, Philippines — The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) recently turned over four brand new ambulances to government hospitals around the country, as part of its COVID-19 relief and response effort.
The Rizal Medical Center, San Lazaro Hospital, Ospital ng Sampaloc and Siargao District Hospital received one ambulance unit each from NGCP as part of the company’s P1 billion donation to the Filipino people.
This is in addition to the ambulances donated to the Philippine General Hospital, Philippine Orthopedic Center, Philippine Heart Center, Quirino Memorial Medical Center, and Binan Doctors Hospital on July 5.
NGCP also donated P10 million to Project ARK, a pooled COVID testing initiative in partnership with local government units in Metro Manila.
Other NGCP COVID-19 response and relief projects in the works include the donation of four donning and doffing chambers and five isolation rooms to several government hospitals.
“NGCP’s service to the country does not end with quality transmission services. In the spirit of bayanihan, we are continuously looking for ways to help our nation fight and overcome this unprecedented global health crisis,” NGCP said.
NGCP is a Filipino-led, privately owned company in charge of operating, maintaining, and developing the country’s power grid, led by majority shareholders and vice chairman of the board Henry Sy Jr. and co-vice chairman Robert Coyiuto Jr.
