PPP Center seeks project consultants
MANILA, Philippines — The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center is seeking expressions of interest from consulting firms capable of working on projects with resilience components.
These firms, which will be retained for two years, will make up a panel that will support the preparation and transaction of local PPP projects.
The services rendered by these consulting firms will be paid though the Project Development and Monitoring Facility (PDMF) governed by a multi-agency board and administered by the PPP Center.
The fund is specifically used to support pre-investment activities.
The creation of the consulting panel is supported by a $2.5 million technical assistance grant from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) coursed though the PDMF.
As such, submissions are open to all eligible national and international consulting firms from ADB member countries.
Selected firms will be retained until Dec. 31, 2022.
The panel is being created alongside the PPP Center’s goal of having access to a pool of highly specialized and technical consulting firms experienced in developing resilient and environmentally sustainable projects in renewable energy, water, sanitation, waste management, food security, flood control, housing and transportation system and related sectors.
Consulting companies that will make up this panel will be responsible for supporting project preparation, bid management, and financial close of projects at the local and regional levels.
Pre-qualified firms will be shortlisted in the first week of August.
This is in line with the PPP Center’s Local PPP Strategy launched in 2017 in which it expands and strengthens its support and provision of technical assistance to local government units for the preparation, procurement and implementation of PPP projects that will have immediate impact to communities.
The center also gives particular focus on incorporating climate change adaptation/mitigation and disaster risk resilience in the project design in accordance with the national policy of promoting sustainable development and cooperating with global climate efforts.
