Cravings Group opening more outlets in 2019

Louella Desiderio - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Cravings Group is opening three to four outlets of its restaurant brand Cravings next year as part of efforts to expand its presence in the country.

It is also looking to open more outlets for its other brands, if there are opportunities.

“We intend to expand. We are opening in San Juan and in the south. So we will have maybe three to four new outlets next year,” Cravings Group chief executive officer Marinela “Badjie” Trinidad said.

She said the additional sites would bring the total number of Cravings outlets to five or six.

At present, Cravings has two outlets, with the flagship located along Katipunan Ave. in Quezon City, and the other branch in Laguna.

The company which started with the Cravings restaurant along Katipunan Ave., has grown and now has other food and beverage brands including B&P, Casa Roces, C-2 Classic Cuisine and Where’s Marcel?.

It also set up the Center for Culinary Arts school. It has been involved in the hotel and events place business.

Trinidad said the company would like to increase the presence of the C-2 restaurant brand by opening outlets in two to three locations.

C-2 currently has an outlet in Cebu.

Trinidad said the company is also interested in expanding the presence of Australian coffee shop Where’s Marcel?.

“If there’s an opportunity, we are looking more at office buildings or convention centers. I think that is where we do well. Rent is a big part of expense. We want reasonable rates but high traffic,” she said.

Where’s Marcel? outlets are currently located at the World Trade Center in Pasay City and at the Pearl Place in Ortigas.
