MANILA, Philippines — Century Properties Group is offering approximately 2,000 homes in its first residential tourism project, Batulao Artscapes in Nasugbu, Batangas.
Through its leisure, tourism and hospitality business unit, CPG has already pre-sold 342 vacation homes worth P2 billion.
Launched in December 2017, Batulao Artscapes lies on a 142-hectare development with the first phase comprising 36 hectares.
The so-called ‘artventure’ community has attracted local end users seeking a weekend retreat, as well as families and active retirees looking for secondary homes that are not too far from Metro Manila but are surrounded by nature and a cooler climate, said Tim Hallett, head of CPG’s leisure, tourism and hospitality division.
“This community is the first of its kind in the market. We are excited to bring something that combines art, nature and adventure into this beautiful out-of-town property. We are optimistic of the market’s continuous positive response to the project given the expanding middle class and surge of domestic tourism in the Philippines,” he said.
Art is the driving force behind the entire project, Hallett added.
Batulao Artscapes is touted as the world’s first livable art park with vacation amenities, including a man-made beach with a clubhouse and a lake with a charming wedding chapel.
The whole development is expected to draw tourists as well as the complementary public attractions within the property such as the sports park, flavor park, and art park with museums designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects.
Land development and home construction are ongoing with the first batch of homes scheduled for completion in early 2019, CPG said.
