MANILA, Philipppines - Top cloud ERP Oracle NetSuite has unveiled a slew of new e-commerce offerings, including Artificial Intelligence and Machine-Learning enhanced applications across its entire Software as a Service (SaaS) suite, that will help businesses — from the world’s largest corporations down to small and medium-sized enterprises — scale up and adapt to change.
At their annual conference dubbed “SuiteWorld18, ‘Ready, Set, Grow,’” recently held in Las Vegas, Evan Goldberg, Oracle NetSuite Executive Vice President of Development, stressed that Oracle NetSuite’s focus on Machine Learning and AI is to surface it in the application and in the daily use.
“Specifically AI, we want to bring it out in the regular use of the product, for the features that we have now, the capabilities that we have now. With AI, it helps you identify outliers and expense reports, it helps you identify projects that may run into problems,” Goldberg said.
By embedding AI into its native business intelligence systems, NetSuite will enable customers to draw real-time insights from their business and customer data, automate processes for greater efficiencies, and act on predictive intelligence.
Jim McGeever, Executive Vice President of Oracle NetSuite agrees, saying those white-hot technologies are indispensable for digital business.
“A pioneer in the cloud, NetSuite has long been a leader in providing powerful business intelligence across its suite,” McGeever said.
“With new artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities within NetSuite, we’re equipping our customers to understand not only what's happened with their business, but what will happen in the future and how they can stay ahead,” McGeever added.
To further drive this point, Oracle NetSuite quoted the views of R “Ray” Wang, principal analyst and founder of Constellation Research, about “a future where AI drives new business models” that is now quickly becoming the present.
“Having business applications that can deliver predictive, prescriptive and automated outcomes is going to be an imperative for businesses that want to grow and succeed in the years to come,” Wang said.
SuiteCommerce
During the convention, Oracle NetSuite also announced its latest release of SuiteCommerce, a new e-commerce solution that will give customers the freedom to grow and evolve their online business.
“With SuiteCommerce, businesses can quickly and easily launch, manage and enhance their e- commerce site. From day one, they get a single, unified solution that supports their entire business and will be the first and last system they will ever need,” McGeever said.
“Most importantly, our unique approach puts an end to long, costly implementations and allows customers to get the most they can from their commerce investment,” he added.
Goldberg, for his part, says SuiteCommerce will provide the perfect solution for customers since it is easy to administer, implement and manage.
“For most of our customers, they’re going to be satisfied with Suite Commerce especially since you know one of the targets for us are B2B companies, distributors, manufacturers who had much website in the past but their buyers are expecting to transact with them really easily online without the e-mail processes of the past. You have to, as a B2B distributor or manufacturer, have an online way for your customers to interact with each other,” Goldberg said.
Goldberg added that the new NetSuite commerce solution meets this need by providing themes, accelerated deployment, drag-and-drop site management tools and plugins to extend site capabilities.
Oracle NetSuite customers attest to the efficiency of SuiteCommerce.
“SuiteCommerce is the perfect solution for us,” said Bob Sullivan, CEO and owner of DASH Medical Gloves, a leading supplier of high quality protective gloves for a variety of industries. “It’s amazing how much you can do without a lot of technical knowledge. The fact that we can go in and make changes to the site, add new products or run promotions with simple drag-and-drop tools is extremely valuable. The beauty of this approach is that we can continually evolve our website to meet changing customer needs.”
NetSuite has been growing its footprint since it was acquired by Oracle in 2016, putting sales resources and infrastructure in international markets, including Brazil, China, India,France, Germany, Japan and Mexico.
In cloud ERP alone, NetSuite has 40,000 organizations and subsidiaries running its products across 199 countries, including the Philippines.
