Uptown Parade: talk of the town

It was a starry, starry night when Uptown Parade, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls’ newest happening dining destination, formally opened at the upbeat Uptown Bonifacio in Bonifacio Global City. Showbiz stars descended on Uptown Parade to join assorted foodies in painting the town red.

We caught sight of the dashing, flashing-a-cherubic-smile Marc Nelson on a date night with his lovely mom Carol.

We spotted a glowing, with stars-in-her-eyes Ruffa Gutierrez beside her Paris-based businessman boyfriend Jordan Mouyal and hotelier Justin Pitt sans wife Cristalle Belo.

Other celebrity sightings: event host Tim Yap with boyfriend Javi Martinez Pardo, Tessa Prieto-Valdez, Tweetie de Leon, Apples Aberin, Phoemela Baranda, Joan Bitangcol, Miss International 2016 Kylie Versoza, Bianca King, Antoinette Taus, Saab Magalona with husband Jim Bacarro, Rhett Eala, Robby Carmona, Franco Laurel, and Divine Lee.

Also checking out this new dream dining destination were young social media influencers Janeena Chan, Ella Pangilinan, and Alyssa Arellano.

But of course, the A-list guests were treated to a gastronomic tour of Uptown Parade’s 11 restaurants, including international names, homegrown favorites, and all-new concepts, in all of five palate-tickling hours.

Hopping from one resto to another, guests delightfully unraveled the dazzling offerings of Namoo House by: Maple Tree House (think marinated boneless short ribs, Korean pancakes, and heartwarming rice bowls); Naxional (the best of South American cuisines); Sweet Ecstasy (the double burger that’s truly a double treat and more); Pampas (all-time favorite Latin American comfort food); Gorda (those big fat Mexican lechon tacos and nachos); Char (belly-good roast pork and butter chicken); Palate (a slice of French and Mediterranean cooking plus chef Kaye Torres’ simply dreamy frozen creme brulee); Denny’s (hearty, good old American meals and all-day breakfast); Salvatore Cuomo & Bar (pizzas with pizzazz and a taste of Naples); Livestock (the crispiest crispy pata and more); Uma Uma Ramen (oodles of the most delicious ramen noodles); Hook by Todd English (oysters and other seafood delights you’re bound to get hooked on).

Expect so much more to heat up Uptown Parade’s already sizzling dining scene. For soon to open are the LA-based Pizza Studio and Italian coffeehouse and bistro Café Barbera.

Uptown Parade is connected to Uptown Mall and the nightlife capital The Palace via a walkway bridge,  providing the Fort’s cosmopolitan community with an eclectic, vibrant mix of specialty restaurants serving international dishes.

Go ahead and take a food trip down  Uptown Parade, but let your taste buds do the walking.
