Endeavor seeks 6 entrepreneur firms

MANILA, Philippines – Endeavor Philippines is seeking to bring six high-impact entrepreneurs into Endeavor’s global network this year to help them scale up their businesses.

Endeavor Philippines managing director Manny Ayala said the organization wants six companies to be part of its portfolio and help these new businesses create more jobs.

Ayala discussed Endeavor’s 2016 global impact report, stating that its pool of 1,336 entrepreneurs generated approximately $8.1-billion in revenues and helped create over 600,000 jobs.

“For the Philippines in 2017, we want six more companies on-boarded to put our portfolio at 12—they in turn will mentor more,” he said.

High-impact entrepreneurs can create large, successful businesses that disrupt their respective industries and have the desire to “pay it forward” by nurturing other entrepreneurs.

Endeavor helps entrepreneurs grow their businesses by connecting them to a global network of over 3,000 business leaders who in turn provide mentoring and connections focused on access to markets, capital and talent.

The Philippine unit is the organization’s third affiliate office in Southeast Asia. In the last two years, it has helped eight entrepreneurs from six organizations in various industries to scale and positively impact their respective networks and value-chains.

To date, the portfolio of Endeavor Philippines includes Nix Nolledo of Xurpas (2015), Vivek Padmanabhan and Brian Cotter of PSG Global Solutions (2015), Steve Benitez of Bo’s Coffee (2016), Christopher Reiter and Kenneth Cobonpue (2016), Meredith Ngo of Adobo Connection (2016), and Farouk Meralli of mClinica (2016).

Endeavor was founded in Argentina in 1997, during the onset of the global financial crisis.

Ayala said regardless of the economic and geopolitical climate, mentoring high-impact entrepreneurs who are driven to pay it forward has a significant multiplier effect.

Endeavor Philippines’ Board consists of businessmen Bobbit Panlilio, Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, Gabby Lopez, Anton Huang, Jun Sy, Bong Consing and Injap Sia.

To date, the local arm has built a network of 40 mentors that include business leaders such as Billy Valtos (ICCP), David Guerrero (BBDO Guerrero), Ginbee Go (BPI Family) and Hans Sicat (Philippine Stock Exchange).
