MANILA, Philippines - LBC Express has forged a strategic partnership with SG Holdings Global, the second biggest logistics firm in Japan, in a move seen to expand both companies’ reach and delivery capacity.
“This is a partnership that not only reflects LBC and SG Holdings’ thrust to maintain market leadership in the delivery business, but expands our network in the Philippines. This is a vision that goes back to our customers as we build a brand that can truly be called a one-stop logistics service they can rely on,” said LBC Express president and COO Miguel Camahort.
The signing of the business cooperation agreement Friday at Marriott Hotel in Newport City was led by Camahort and SG Holdings president and regional head Tomoki Sano.
Under SG Holdings’ local subsidiary Sagawa Express Philippines Inc., the deal combines LBC’s trusted reputation for logistics and delivery with the Japanese partner’s strength in freight forwarding and international express logistics.
Camahort said the alliance hopes to open opportunities for both companies to develop total logistics services, which takes advantage of the know-how and network of both companies, allowing them to offer comprehensive solutions to domestic and multinational customers.
In addition, SG Holdings will be able to contribute its expertise in the 3PL and delivery business developed in Japan as LBC continues to serve their global Filipino market by elevating their customer service experience.
“With this partnership, we would be able to cater to the end-to-end logistical needs of the customers,” Camahort added.
